ok you will need a foundry, millions of dollars of r&d, cnc machine, bearings......umm or are you talking about a turbo kit lol

i'm no turbo genius but know my fair share about them. as with anything there is a right and wrong way. seeing that your wanting to build a turbo kit makes me think two things. one you don't want to pay for a pre built kit, or two you want something bigger and better than a pre built kit? i'm going to guess its the first. so i'll give it a shot at keeping it cheap yet safe.

first off a turbo obviously. good jy turbos for the fit are(in order from smallest to largest) kkk k03(vw/audi insta boost too fast for me) td04l-13t(wrx great pick imo),t25 ton's of cars(good pick depending which car its from), td04hl-13g-19t(volvo and saab's good pick as well) t3's several to choose from (getting on the big side. try and stay away from .63 a/r housing) td05h-14b mitsubishi 1st gen(getting laggy), evo 16g6 (the biggest i'd even try on a fit)
next is manifold(your going to have to make it or have a custom one built)
downpipe (same as above)
inlet pipe and filter (again custom or yourself)
piping, clamps, couplers (read above )
some sort of management(e-manage, aem fi/c, ect)
oil feed/return lines and fittings
wastegate if not using internal gate

things not necessarly needed but help greatly
intercooler
blow off valve or bypass valve
bigger injectors (310cc from rsx type s or rc's 310-440's)
colder plugs (ngk bkr7e-11 or bkr7eix-11 for lazy or rich people )

and lets not forget what parts that are going to die that you'll need to prepare for.
brakes
clutch
engine mounts

hope this helps shed some light

dude for the money u will spend on a part by part turbo build. you should just spent the one time fee of the hks kit. it is everything u need down to each zip tie and every little connector, no trips to the parts store or looking for hard to find items, EVERYthing is right there in the box open up the exhaust and BOOM there 145 to the wheels
