A/C belt delete
the AC compressor weighs about 15-20lbs. id like to see a shorter belt so i can take it off. i have been looking for a shorter belt that i can use but no one has the info on it for me so my compressor is still there. i took out my condenser because it was in the way with my intercooler and my engine bay looks cleaner without those ugly ac lines running everywhere.
help on this is appreciated, and all the people that disagree with taking the ac out, go post somewhere else because people want to know this.

Good illustration. And yes you could delete the AC and use a shorter belt routed around the remaining pulleys. Just find out what the length of the stock belt is and move down a few inches. You could buy a few sizes and use the one that fits. Be sure to post the belt size for the rest of us after you finish!
yep!! i put my canadian DX belt on and my car just feels better. loosened the alternator, took out the idler pulley, took off the compressor, rerouted it and BAM! done. it was pretty simple and my car feels better. a little more responsive and when i turn my defroster on, it doesnt feel like my car gets slower.
I had been wondering if in the second illustration the middle wheel would have an issue with not having enough belt traction, but I don't even know what that wheel's connected to so obviously I'm no expert. I imagine it's really not an issue because this is probably just what it looks like with the Canadian DX Fit belt on there. Anyway, end of rant.

you also gain more hp for having less friction losses on the water pump and the idler pulley
win win if u don't mind the sweats!
I have a Canadian LX model which includes A/C. However, the previous owner had to replace the ecu and got an AT ecu without A/C...either that or the A/C just doesn't work....nor does the cruise control. I'm thinking she used an AT DX ecu.
Anyway, I was thinking about doing this myself. A/C isn't that vital up here in Canada, lol.

most likely the AC models's ecu has the AC trigger output. Not all cars had the AC system seperated from the AC, as the ecu still needs to be aware of when teh AC is activated for idle help and load control
