Aspec axle back

So apparantly if I run just an Aspec axle back i'll achieve 5.39hp at 4500rpm. i didnt realize this was possible with just an axle back.

someone shed some light on this for me?

You will be lucky if you get 1hp from an axleback on the fit. If you are looking to get any gains from an exhaust on this car you should look into a cat back and even then you are lucky if you will squeeze out 2-3.

I think you'll get 5 at 4500 if you get the b-pipe and axle back... and no offense to tuan, but thats how they may have tested it.

I would assume 2 from the axle back and 3 from the mid-pipe... whatever gains you get will be minimal. Exhaust just allows for better flow and gains in the mid-upper range. if you think about it... the axle back is maybe 1/3 of the cat-back so you won't get a whole lot.

Not trying to offend or down play aspec specifically just saying in general the bolt ons for the fit don't do much there are guys on here that have spend well over a 1k-2k on just bolt ons and have only gained 5 hp.

i hate liars. i figured that wasnt true from just a bolt on. i was planning on doing a cat delete as well. i figured that would help out a lot. then just throw the cat back on when emissions come around.

well aspec isnt exactly lieing if saiko's theory is right that dyno testing was made at 4500rpm which makes alot of sense.

dyno testing their parts is just a sales pitch telling you that the muffler increases hp. what they dont tell you is the open tb with no intake they are running to get the maximum power.
