Megan Axle-back performance
I've been looking at this exhaust really hard lately. From hearing all the sound clips of it, I think this may be the one that I want. It's discrete and it has a great quiet, low sound to it.
However...
How is it performance-wise? The last exhaust I bought was an Apex'i WSII for my BB6 and I loved it. I realize that there is a WSII for the Fit but I wanted to try something different. Megan owners...Megan critics, how do you guys feel about this exhaust?
Please keep in mind that I want my exhaust quiet as possible (there is no such thing as too quiet) while still giving me a bit of aperformance boost.

Just a muffler won't give you any noticeable gains IMO... A cat-back might give you a few, but JUST the muffler... 1-3 maybe. You're leaving all of the most restrictive parts like the cat and the header in place.
That said, I've heard nothing but good things about the Megan muffler. I've got their mid-pipe and it was top-notch, really easy to install.

ya I'm buying the megan mid-pipe off of chaaree plus I have a megan header.
The only thing, exhaust-wise, that I'm leaving in place is the cat so I can be sure to pass emissions.
I just hate the sound of N1 style mufflers

I have the Megan axle back and love it. The sound is perfect for me. Only complain is that fact you can see the entire muffler from the back but thats every exhaust ive seen for the Fit. One thing you can do is paint the canister black with the high temp paint and it looks a hell of a lot better. But for the price and sound and quality, its topnotch.
ive been running the megan axleback myself. im not thrilled with
the cheap noise it makes but it is a nice looking muffler.
wat i like best is how the total unit angles up correctly when
looked at from the side. it's parallel to the rear valance.
i too think it might look better if the canister's painted (like
TOOL's) but after driving it for over a year it's pretty dirty and
it doesnt bother me any more. hahaha
i polish the tips using metal polish. looks great.
