if you go too light on the flywheel, won't revs drop too quickly and you'll have to speed shift all the time?

I'd prefer something not too light. 9lbs(4.1kg) flywheel will be the lightest I will go in Fit's L15A or any B16/D15 or D16 motor. These motors are just too small for a super light flywheel. I had a 9lbs flywheel setup in my civic EM1 before which is justttttt OK for daily driving going back & forth between home & work. Of course they do help when I went lapping event with it but how often can I rev up to 8000rpm in every gear!?

polar_bear & 1wayfit if u want info & help locally regarding to clutch & flywheel installation check out the link in my signature.

I'd start with LSD, FD, and ratios before changing the flywheel.

did you ever buy and install this? my friend told me to get the mfactory because i'm supercharged. he explained to me that any boosted car is good with a lightened flywheel but not to light.

I'm checking with the guys at MFactory.

raja_kerbau: Can u find out whether or not your car runs a stock 4.0 final drive set? What kinda boost are u running? Reason I ask is if u run a high boost setup & drive on highway a lot then it's not such a good idea to use a bigger final drive/tighter gear ratio. Limited Slip Differential is a MUST though. It's always nice if the power is transferred to the ground efficiently. So nice clutch, LSD & nice tires are very important.

I'd recommend to just get an LSD.

Depends if his car runs a 4.29 final drive like the USDM Fit or a smaller setup like the JDM ones. If it runs a 4.29 setup then he can get away with just a LSD. If it's the JDM setup then I will definitely recommend him to get a bigger FD to add even more response on acceleration.
