Will there be any type of introductory pricing for us fit freak members, possibly free shipping in the U.S. for a limited time?

From the photos it looks low to the ground. Any clearance numbers compared to say, the Tanabe Touring Medallion? First one to get it needs to post a ton of pics! I like it now, looks like a contender.

Thanks for all the PM's and emails about the H-Fit Type M Exhaust. Instead of sound clips you've requested, we were finally able to upload some video clips of the exhaust!

As a note, video clips are good for references. Different cameras and different microphones will have variances in sound and video clips. We used 2 cameras for you to compare. Please check out the video clips here:

H-Fit.com ...Products for your GD3 / GD4 / GE8 Honda Fit...

Davela72 - This actually is the introductory price! We wanted to offer you the best price from the get-go. Also, because at H-Fit we take pride in manufacturing locally (with Borla Performance) in the US and NOT overseas, we're paying the premium associated to be competitive.

Honda2112 - The position of the exhaust does appear low because of how low our Fit is. It does sit higher than our friends Fujitsubo exhaust. We have yet to scrape the exhaust on anything.

If you have any more questions, feel free to PM or email us.

Thanks!
H-Fit Team

Sounds pretty loud. Is that just the video? Is this exhaust noise level more like a Spoon N1 or Tanabe touring medallion? Interested to see the dyno, hoping to see increase in whp.

Alright, I've had the exhaust on for 1-2 days now and can give some initial impressions of it - keep in mind I have the KWSC kit so it will probably sound a little different, maybe louder on a NA Fit:

Build quality: Looks good, everything is quite solid and nicely welded. Appearance is a bit of personal taste as the exhaust isn't polished or anything, so don't expect to find a nice brand spanking new exhaust that looks great out of the box.

Although hard to see in official pictures, the exhaust actually goes out at an angle like the Aspec axleback. This kind of looks odd as the exhaust pipe/tip is so small, but I kind of like it.

The exhaust is VERY light, the Megan axleback & stock oem muffler are very heavy compared to it. Everything fits correctly and no problems installing the exhaust.

Sound is definitely louder than the Megan axleback. WOT is around the same but with a slightly deeper tone, but driving around at city speeds/rpms might be a bit bothersome to people who aren't used to loud exhausts. Very deep and throaty growl to the sound, I think it sounds great.

Overall I like this exhaust alot so far - only problem being that the noise can get bothersome as you'll be loud when you're only doing like 35 mph up a hill. Good exhaust flow & sound, but definitely not a quiet exhaust. Thanks H-Fit for continuing to support the GD3!

Here is a video, kind of bad audio from camera. Excuse my pale legs. 3k, 3k, 4.5k, then 0-4k

I would say it's not as loud as your typical canister exhaust but to my ears it is definitely louder than the Megan axleback (which is a pretty quiet exhaust actually). I use the term "loud" relative to what I'm used to; just consider the small muffer on this exhaust, there is great flow but will be loud due to it. Who knows, it might be quieter on an NA car, but I guess I'd leave it as being not loud enough to bother me or anyone around the car, but if it were any louder I'd be reconsidering as I do not like to attract too much attention with the sound of the exhaust. It has a very nice deep throaty tone to it which I'm loving though!

A little update:

After getting more used to the sound, I'd put it at "a tad louder" than the Megan axleback. Just the tone and low rumbling of it made it sound louder but now I realize it's not actually THAT loud.

I got the chance to drive up some hills today, and am pleased to say that although the Type M exhaust might be a tad louder than the Megan on regular streets, on uphill climbs the Type M sounds MUCH better than the Megan - it sounds quieter and much deeper, to the point where I don't feel embarrassed about the sound the car is making doing 35 mph up a steep hill.
