Can we get an update? Most people aren't going to buy a product without more info on performance, especially since this muffler looks so close to stock, most aren't going to buy it just for looks.

Well one thing you can do is just consider it for what it is - an axleback. There isn't much to be made in gains regardless of what replacement axleback you get - maybe a couple horses but I doubt any more. The reason you'd get this muffler is that it is very stealth and sounds great, esp since they worked with Borla for the muffler.

I would assume the gains to be similar to the a-spec system

Hi H-Fit, I was wondering what material is the welds made of? Are they stainless steel as well?

Type-M welds

Hi John,

Stainless filler wire was used for our welds in our Type-M Exhaust so there should be little to no rust at the weld junctions.

One of our primary goals when designing this exhaust was to make sure that the unit was durable and not susceptible to road grime, so we constructed it entirely out of stainless steel.

Thanks for your interest in H-fit Products, please let us know if you have any additional questions.

James

Looks like they are blowing these out @ $160 now w/ shipping. I'd be willing to take a chance on one if I could modify it to fit my GE8. Anyone think that can be done?

I actually JUST got one for my GD. Plan to use it as the "street" portion of my race exhaust

Quality is GOOD. Yes it's all "raw finish" but that is one, easy to paint (nearly zero prep needed) and two let me closely inspect the work

VERY light for an axle back.

Not 100% on how a GE axle back mounts up, but any competent exhaust shop could cut/flange/weld/adjust this to work.

Yeah you're probably right. Only issue is how much modification is needed and what will that cost? Too expensive and I'd be better off just getting a Tanabe Grand Touring. Can do a direct replacement of stock system myself with a wrench and some jacks. Decisions, decisions.

Sent an e-mail to H-fit a few weeks ago asking their thoughts on use with a GE8. Radio Silence........ Wondering if they already went under.

H-Fit James, Is the axle back muffler still available? If so I'm looking to buy.
