Gude Bullfrog Head package

So I was bored at work and was thinking why aren't companies giving more support for our cars. And I remember back in the days that Gude made some decent head packages that gave a good alternative to force induction. Here is the e-mail I got back from Bill Gude.

Subject: Honda Fit Head Package?

Hello,

I was wondering if your company has looked into doing some work for the Honda Fit engine an L15. Mainly people are looking for a streetable power which I would assume would be head port, regrind camshaft and big bore throttle body and ecu reflash.

Stephen

Bill Gude reply e-mail.

We can do this model the power will be add above 3000 and max at 43 hp increase for 1250.00 reg price 1650.0.

I'm sure Gude can do a more agressive camshaft and such if needed. Just another thought for you guys who want to go NA.

You should let him know via email that as for the Honda Fit forums out there...this is it, period.....if he wants to make some sales....Bill might want to spent a little time posting a dyno sheet, sponsor someones car, something. It's nice that he sent a email....but a 3 sentence email is not going to get THAT kind of money out of most peoples wallets.

I'm sure if someone was near their business they would offer something. Has anyone checked with Skunk2 if they would be willing to offer this type of service?

Same here. If the motor could be tuned to make peak torque at 6500 rpm it would be very similar to the old jdm d15b vtec, about 20 hp more than what a GD3 makes stock.

Of course that would necessitate raising the revlimit to 7000 and a tune, which means a reflash most likely, if you could get it done.

If I were rich and edumacated I would find a way to piggyback a p28 ecu on the fit's and neptune it.

I dislike how the IM runners curl upwards to save space..

Me too... runners are extra long for good torque but i'm sure it kills high rpm power!! I remember guys that were making custom intake manifolds fro the DOHC Neon's were cutting the runners and welded a custom plenum with something like 6 inches runners to gain peak HP!!! But on the other hand, the little 1.5l needs every ft\lbs of torque possible... and more importantly on my automatic!!

Marko!!

i want to know how they plan to add about 43hp with only a cam and port and polish. i have seen the top fuel numbers but that also comes with a tune.

i have used gude before and they are quality but i do wanna see. i would possibly test this out....

43 hp???? You'd have to peak at about 8000 rpm for that!

I didn't think the L15 cyl head could flow well enough for that. If it can, then I need to start saving money.
