Kraftwerk's fits: What exhaust?
#21
I spoke to OSR directly and I remember he did say that tri-y headers like the WeaponR Street actually performed worse than the stock header w/ the KWSC. He recommended a 4-1 header like the Megan for performance.

I think dew wants the race header tho, not the street header. The race header, yes, is a better setup.

Well, I get the race header wenesday so well see what happens. Oh and I'll measure all off the piping.. The Megan stuff is more than 50mm i'm sure of that. Now I just can't decided on skunk2 50mm or 60mm OR spoon bpipe..

Buy a skunk 2 60mm exhaust, i'm running it on my car without supercharger or turbo, as is... the car is way faster and louder than a MOFO... gotta love it when you pass my the police. Just blip it a bit or let the gas go and it gets even louder :-D

Is that the same Megan header that you sold to me, then I never got a chance to install it, then you traded me your skunk2 springs to send you the header back? Haha...that was a funny set of transactions.
I may be interested, I got some other stuff in the works right now, but I'll PM you once it gets closer to buying time

From what I hear from some other local guys, most good race headers won't fit properly because most times, the most power-adding designs just don't fit with the stock mounting points. If it doesn't fit, you make it fit.
I guess that's what makes the difference between a real tuner and a credit card-toting wannabe? I would definitely consider myself the latter. I'm too chicken to actually mod the car itself. I just bolt things on that make noise and hope that I can go faster

Alright so I sold (pending sale, rather) my H-Fit Type M exhaust due to money and some issues with how loud it is (girlfriend complaining). However now that I put the OEM muffler back on, I'm seriously depressed about the lack of power across the band. It feels like the car got the wind knocked out of it.
I need an exhaust that will be relatively quiet but be less restrictive for FI than the OEM muffler... I was thinking of getting a AP1/AP2/EP3 muffler and getting that bolted on. This should stay quiet and provide more than enough flow right?

Honestly, I'm quite surprised how none of you go the custom route. A lot of muffler shops can make you custom stuff with all the fancy mandrel bent tubing you'd get from an aftermarket brand. Meanwhile you'd save a good amount of money and time too.
If I ever upgraded my exhaust, I'd go with custom 2.25" tubing, Carsound high-flo cat, and an ES Tuning/Magnaflow muffler. The setup might not give me the best performance, but at least it's still legal.
Btw...where the heck are our CARB stickers?!?
