Arrow CVT Supercharger Pulley

Hey Oscar, have you folks at Kraftwerks seen this?
http://www.fallbrooktech.com/docs/CVAD_Supercharger.pdf

Is there any merit to the thing or is it as hokey at it appears to me?
(siting friction through fluid from smooth surfaces as the reason for being hokey)

The idea seems great but I'd expect to see an oddly splined ball and discs for it to take any high engine loads, to be honest.

Thanks

(everyone: It's meant to supplement and enhance a Supercharger, not be one on its own)

There is nothing hokey about this system. It is the same traction drive constant velocity planetary transmission used on the Rotrex super chargers used by Kraft Werks in their kits. The same system is used in some Opel automobiles marketed here as Saturns.... The system was originally designed by Leonardo DaVinci over 500 years ago and became feasible when a Shell Oil Company engineer invented the traction oil formula..... It has served me well on my car.

It began life as a bicycle hub.
