dyno tests and real q mile testing
i just bought a fit and i was curious to see if people have actually gotten real world power from bolt ons ie intake etc not supercharger etc
i have put bolt ons on v8s and 4 cylinders , i noticed that on the 4 cylinders i have owned some just dont gain much power ie had 2000 civic si put comptech intake header exhaust pulleys intakemanifold gasket plugs plug wires high flow cat had car dyno before and after with minimal results until i added apexi power programmer but still only gained approx 20 at the wheels and dropped 6 tenths at the track unlike i was misled years ago with manipulated dynos etc an lt1 or ls1 would gain that with headers i think with 4cylinders turbo or super charging is the way to go if i could do it over... i probably will stick to just cosmetic changes on the fit due to daily driver and past experience cant go wrong with a nice set of light wheels!!

Well, you won't gain much with bolt-ons on a Fit! Maybe 10 - 15whp from a CAI, Header, Exhaust, Denso IK20-IK22 plugs and pulleys!! Seriously, if you car has some miles on it, i think you could gain more by adjusting you valves then installing various bolt-ons on it!! If you want some noise, a Injen CAI and Aspec axleback will do the job. But you won't get a shitload of power from that!!

If you decide you still want to try and squeeze out some more power, your first mod should be electronics. Some sort of piggy back fuel and spark controller.
Greddy EMU, HKS F-Con, AEM FIC, Apexi or Neo S-AFC 2, etc.
Then you will see as much as some of these guys advertise, or more with good fuel, spark plugs and a proper tune, which is what the above devices will allow you to do.
Otherwise you are going to be hurting fuel economy, and in the case of bolting on say just an exhaust you will be hurting torque and merely making more noise.
