AEM intake available?

Anyone know if the AEM intake for the fit is available yet? I think Dacalac was the one who got the AEM intake test fitted on his car but he didn't know when it was going to be released. My friend works at SuperAutobacs and he said it was available but i dont see it on the AEM website. So yeah just curious cuz if it is i'm buying it ASAP. thanx

awesome... so that means tho i can get it from AEM tho right? I have a hook up (i think) that can get me cost and then some so hopefully i'll get a deal on this. Anyone think the intakes available as of now would be better than AEM? I know this is CARB legal so thats always a plus cuz i live in CA.

AEM CAI for the Fit is available now for the manual tranny only. Part No. 21-518. My contact said that R&D for the auto would start in a couple of weeks so it won't be out at least for a month.

K&N filter

AEM said there are size issues with the FIT. CAI will probably not be available for the AT just the manual. But look at all the plug-ins on the stock box. For ashort RAM which will possibly include a short filter and a tube probably 4 inches long: $200+?!
I stuck a K&N filter that I got with my short RAM AEM intake on my V6 Accord into the flex-tubing and cinched it with two hose clamps and it works just fine. A lot less expensive. And the K&N filter has a hard plastic tube inside the filter which makes it easier to make sure no stray non-filtered air gets in.
And it sounds cool too!

Just spoke with AEM. Their CAI is available now in all three colours. I also contacted Corsport about this and they said that their supplier only has silver. Quite confused, but that is how far I've gotten into this topic...more to come...

tried the part number in AEM (USA) and it came up blank: 21-518. Only in Canada eh? I still don't know if I would put out $230 on a 18in short RAM intake from either K&N or AEM. I had a Accord 4cyl and the AEM kept bogging down. But to be fair, the engine in the 2000 Accord was a poor torquer with little power-to-weight ratio: that is why I turned it in and got a V6! The K&N filter I put on my FIT sounded great but started to sould like it was bogging down with the AC on;]

actually all of the Canadian suppliers are giving me clueless answers saying they arent out yet. You can try Corsport in Denver, they said they can get them in silver. I called AEM in the US and they told me that the CAI was available in all three colours. $230 is a little much for a SRI, but is right around the same price range as the Fujita CAI. AEM's site has not been updated since the launch of the 07+ Fit MT CAI, thats why you can't find it on their page...
