You will probably get a check engine light and in california it's illegal. if you get pulled over and the officer suspects you have removed your cat (because your exhaust will smell very bad) you will get a very big ticket.

Go to a muffler shop, have them remove the stock axle back pipe and muffler and bend a stock diameter pipe with connecting 1/4" round steel bar stock to fit the stock rubber mounts that will stick out just an inch or 2 beyond the bumper.... It will be cheap and a cinch to remove when you find how annoyingly loud an aftermarket or modified stock exhaust or you can't get anything but trashy girls to ride with you..... It will drop the low end torque more than it is going to help when you are at the top of the rev range. You can have it done with an 18 glass pack muffler that will lower and deepen the tone and make it somewhat pleasurable unless you have to drive at 70 MPH for a couple of hours straight.... The noise can drive you crazy if it is too loud.

why is it called a "test pipe"?

isn't it just a cat-delete?

If you remove the secondary cat for a free flowing test pipe, it will not cause a CEL on the 09+ fit.

T1R makes a test pipe, if thats what you're after. As for a louder exhaust, PM me and I will work out a package for a complete system for you if you are interested.

Thanks.
