GD Headers, NJ state inspection

Hi all, I have an 07 Sport and I'm looking at headers, so far T1R, Weapon-R and DC. Wondering if anyone has passed them through NJ state inspection? In my experience they barely even look at the car the last few years, although those trips were all with a minivan, so maybe they look more closely at more mod-friendly cars, or cars that sound like they might have aftermarket exhaust.

Actually now that I think of it, I did take the Fit with my H&R intake, and I don't think they looked under the hood. Though it is legal.

Well the DC header is CARB legal here in CA so I would imagine it would pass out there... but check your local laws if you are really worried.

you'll be fine. they only check your computer and look at your catalytic converter with a video camera.

I did some digging and found a few interesting things....

Several places market the product as CARB exempt, such as:
DC Sports 4-2-1 ONE-PIECE HEADER - JCWhitney

HOWEVER, when the actual EO number is researched here:
http://arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermkt/de...eo/D-370-8.pdf

I do not see the Fit listed....Hmm...

Well your state law is restricted to 95db. It looks as though you can be failed for "tampering" so I guess if they see it they can fail you for modifying your exhaust. Depends on your luck I guess
