I was wondering what mods you can do to an L15A7 motor 2009 Honda Fit LX, and can you get a short shifter for an 09 Fit cause when I went to one of the shops they couldnt find anything for it online only for 07-08 models.

As far as engine mods, you really need to search, that question is asked at least once a day on here.

I will tell you the short shifters from 07-08 works on the 09+ as well.

 

Not sure how that was helpful at all. I don't think the OP needs a new starter for their car.

Umm. Could have sworn GD shifters don't work on GE's but ok.

Mugen makes a short shifter for the GE's and I think skunk2 does as well. JUN makes cam's for L15 as well as plenty of cold air intakes and exhausts but not going to get much power unless you get something to tune with and since Hondata doesn't make a flashpro for the Fit you're looking at AEM.

 

I've read several threads on here that say that people installed Revo SS and Buddy Club SS in a GE8. The part number is the same for both GD and GE from Revo is also the same so I am assuming it can go into either generation.

The add-on SS kits like Skunk2 and H-Fit have issues crossing generations or so i've gathered. Problems with 1-3-5 and modifications needed to go in those gears. I emailed H-Fit about their add-on kit for GE but no response (unless it's in my junkmail lol let me check).

 

The Mugen SS is great and really easy to install. both the wife and I got ours from here.
Also I don't know how well if at all the Jun cam works on the GE8 since it was made for the CR-Z.
