I am doing my best to get that dyno sheet, i'll probably have it by tomorrow or the day after that.

Meanwhile i do have an old video that i made not long after i dynoed the car.
You guys could see the caracteristics of the engine and how it performs in action.

Here's the link:

If you look closely at the rev counter, you can see that the engine does rev that high.

How did I miss this thread?!?

Has anyone gotten a compression height measurement for the L15A7 pistons?

What exactly do you mean by compression height measurment? Crown height from pin center?

Well this is the update on my latest setup, since my last post, I added:

- Bisimoto level 3 Camshaft
- Bisimoto High Flow Valves
- Bisimoto titanium springs and retainers

It made 116WHp at the wheels on a dyno known to give lower hp ratings. Real result may be from 5 to 10% more.

Sorry to take so long to reply, I hope this helps for you guys who want to go the NA route.

PS: i do have the dyno sheet if anyone wants to see it

That thing is quick for an N/A engine.

Sorry took me so long guys, i was very busy lately.

I put the picture/chart of the engine on my album thingy. It's the only pic there, can't miss it. You guys just have to look it up..

*Note that the internals all are stock except for the valvetrain.

If you guys have any questions, feel free to ask!

What's with the drop in power from 6400-6600rpms? Congrats on your build, must be a lot of fun on the road

It's because i'm still using the factory ECU and at 64-6600 rpm is when the ECU intervenes and kicks in the fuel cut. After 6600rpm its on a different Map.

Thank you, it is very fun on the road!
Still is an ongoing project though...

Reviving an old thread as I am a N/A fan and taking the same route... :-)

I am going to build up a complete megasquirt ECU to handle future modifications. But that's a long project going on.

It will seem like a lot, but DIY'ing a megasquirt setup will be much easier once you familiarize yourself with what it can do.

Your biggest challenge will be ignition (correct timing and control) and proper reading of the crankshaft sensor.

Also, soldering small components sucks!!! Give a computer/laptop/phone repair guy a few cases of beer and have him solder lol

Good to hear that!

So you're going to run a megasquirt ECU, that's good, tuning the engine is where the fun starts.

Right now, i'm running a dastek unichip with pivot i-drive to tune the engine. Feel free to ask any questions about the N/A mods, maybe i can help.

I'm pretty much done with the engine, no news mods lately. However, i started to going crazy with weight reduction.

Gutted the interior, only a racing seat left and the headliner.
AC and radio still there though.

The car now weights in at 947 kgs/~2080 lbs.

There is a guy I saw recently on True Fit Crew (Facebook) that made 125 whp in his GE with bisimoto cams and internals, I'll see if he can chime in here.

I'm really tempted to pick up the cat cams sport cam that works with stock GD valve train but requires tuning. First thing I need is to finish my exhaust piping and then finally get hondata. that cam is supposed to be good for 11-14 hp.

Wow! I'd be all over that cam. 11-14hp is a considerable amount in this lightweight small car.

^^ that car making 125whp never had a baseline to see improvements.

We need to get adjustable cam gears made before we will even start to unlock these motors. The cams that are out seem to be consistently losing power with people's motors.
