It wont do what you asked. Just a down pipe wont do anything as far as making power. Corked stock header, with after market dp, and stock corked exhaust makes no power/sound. Mufflers change tone of the exhaust.

Correct. It wouldn't be worth the hassle or money.

Putting the DP on will increase HP since you are deleting the cat. The vehicle will typically run a little richer on the fuel curve. Make sure you get a CEL delete for the DP. The sound shouldn't be affected much if at all.

I put on my MR header and DP and was amazed how quiet it was. I put an axle back on recently but still running the stock mid-pipe and the sound increase due to the exhaust but still not to loud. But to just put a DP on might not be worth it for the time being. At least do the header and DP together.

In all honesty, the change in sound depends on what down/test pipe you install. Megan Racing's down/test pipe features a resonator so it will not be as loud as the majority of the others pipes which are effectively speaking simple pipe which eliminates the cat. Mind you, other manufactures may have different piping diameters and bends but are effectively a modular straight pipe with bung holes for the O2 sensors.

Where can i get a cel delete from? i ordered the axle back today. gonna wait on the header and dp and order them together later. maybe after some rims and lowering springs

My Down pipe made a huge difference in sound by itself now that i added the midpipe and axle back its stupid loud for a fit but i love it. debating on turbo or staying N/A. you will notice the sound for the downpipe on start up.

Yeah the Aspec looks like it would be louder. Nice straight through design. The MR is nice. I'm curious though if the resonator reduces HP gain compared to the straight through design like Aspec or T1R.

Haha I bet. If you think that is bad wait till you use Hondata. With the instantaneous MPG on the Hondata app I get like 7 MPG at WOT. I think at best I get like 15 MPG cruising around. Just a little bit of change from my 35-42 MPG . Oh the sacrifice for all that raw 102 WHP hahaha.

I did just a MR downpipe and it has not hanged the sound at all. I can't tell any power difference either. But I'm now in search of a header.
