radiator reservoir

How high should the fluid level be in the radiator reservoir?
How can you tell???

Not 100% on the fit id have to look. But most cars have a high and low level lines on the back of the resevior

Get a flash light and an inspection mirror then look straight down at it. You may have to move side to see to see but you will notice two lines on that tank, the lower rise is labeled as the low point and higher rise is the full mark.

Honda made checking the coolant res level way too difficult.
I usually have mine filled halfway between high and low when cold.

Go to rockauto or some other online parts store. Look at the pictures of the thing and you'll be able to tell about where the lines are.

As stated, you can use a bright flashlight shining down from the top. Then you can see the level of coolant looking at the side of the reservoir.




Yes, there are MAX and MIN lines, but generically, you want at least an inch or two from the bottom when cold (overnight). Any more that 3/4 filled, and some coolant could come out of the overflow (as designed).
