I recently saw and forgot to bookmark, either a post or a website that was showing a new GK5 airbox. I was curious to do some research on it but I can't find it for the life of me, including in this forum. Can anyone post a link to the product please?

It's not even fully enclosed. The carbon fiber shell is just a cover over a cone filter?

 

I didn't get to read on it when I first saw it, I seriously just scanned over it earlier this week. It looked interesting, and I wanted to look more up about it, but not much for power gain.

 

That wasn't designed w/ a L15B GK5. Can't guarantee that will fit.

 

I'll guarantee that it won't work! The throttle body is closer to the firewall on that engine. The L15B is closer to the front of the vehicle. It is an interesting design. Looks good visually! However, that 'cool' carbon fiber housing doesn't seem to have any bottom part to it. It will be nice umbrella-for-heat that rises up underneath it, right into the air filter. Not good!

Feel free to purchase it if you want though.

 

The CRZ airbox swap is a nice alternative from what I've been told. +5 hp gain??? Lol I don't think so...
