Thumbs up Since my Magnaflow muffler won't work, I was stocked to find...

A catback exhaust for the price of Axle-Back systems. This system is for the fit from an underground company. I love how the tip looks very similar to the Tanabe Hyper Medallion. I've found no FIT's yet buy listen to before & after sounds on 00 SI, RSX, and others on youtube. I'll post a few but can't beat a catback exhaust with hi-end sound for 259.00.

Here are random vids to give u ideas from say a K20, D16y8, B18 LS etc. The deep Barry White exhaust made me say my 98 Prelude SH w/ Apex-i WS exhaust.

I like this because he records interior at moderate RPM's. We all know how loud the B16A/B can be at 8000+ RPM's.

99-00 Civic SI

EG Civic w/ B16B CTR (please play with nice speakers or forget it)

Enjoy. I hope you'll put this exhaust on your short list.

Someone here already buy this before few months ago.
That is how I know about this Yonaka set.

https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...-exhausts.html

actually there is a youtube video on the link above with the sound clips for Honda Fit with Yonaka.

by the way,
I plan to do a custom exhaust pipe with 2 1/4in piping and use the OEM Resonator and Muffler from Civic Si.
The Resonator came from the latest version of Civic Si while the Muffler will come from the one generation before the current version of Civic Si since the older muffler use bolt to mount the exhaust tips which should fit my S2000 AP2 exhaust tips perfectly.
I plan to go to a muffler shop tomorrow... hopefully it will fit
Was the Magnaflow muffler physical size too big too fit ?

Hi,

Mine don't line up too, I am not sure if this below can be applied
for your situation, but here is what I did yesterday:

I saw your thread. My muffler is too big for that. Plus I want an exhaust that produces power. That muffler was 120 then custom piping will end up costing more that a true catback. Your welds look eh to me. They are smaller than the piping which cramps the flow of exhaust. Are u gonna record sound?

Hello,
My current piping is 2 1/4in in diameter,
and it is actually a bit smaller than the piping in the Civic Si resonator that I used so it is kinda slip inside it,
I don't think the welding going to cramps the flow of exhaust?
Because
It start from the second cat back opening at 1.75in pipe anyway,
so there is already a bottle neck with just 1.75in pipe outlet of the second cat...

so that is why I think
2 1/4in in diameter should be big enough to over come (if there is any) problem with some welding protrude inside the tube,

If you enlarge the picture, they way they weld most of the pipe
is
they enlarge one pipe and slip it on to the non enlarge pipe and then they weld it,
so as far as I see,
there is no welding that protrude into the piping that cramps the flow.

Here is the picture of one of the slip on joints before welded:

and another slip on joint here (which later welded):

(please note how they enlarge enlarge the joint above)?

but I agree with you that the Yonaka will be lower in cost,
I just like to use as much OEM Honda (Genuine) parts as possible,
that is why I decide to do this custom exhaust (using Honda Civic Si parts),
but I am now thinking of adding another straight through
resonator probably magnaflow or vibrant just to make it more quiter.

Thanks,
I do keep the rear bar reinforcement that came with USDM model (modified to fit this bumper) and the plastic material on both USDM bumper and JDM bumper are similar,
the mounting clips on the side are exactly the same that is why I can just swap the bumper,
so from all the above, I am sure both JDM RS bumper and USDM bumper will have the same result with just 5mph impact...

unfortunately, most impact that matter happen above 5mph though
Well, the only problem is,
if (KNOCK ON WOOD, STEEL etc...)
if something happened and it broke the bumper,
the replacement cost on a JDM RS Bumper will be much higher because
of transportation from Japan,... that is the only issue,
so I hope nothing happen...

I wonder why Honda extended the front/rear bumpers in the 1st place.

I think it is to create more crumple zone, absorption area in case of impact to satisfy the US crash standard.
I am talking the kind of impact that is quite severe (above 5mph kind).

but since our Honda Fit is kinda low,
plus with most of us lowering our car,
a large SUV could easily hit us from the front or back side and will miss our bumper entirely and just slammed either to our hatchback at the rear,
or to headlight and hood...
which mean,
even the USDM longer bumper will be useless in that scenario.

An interesting point is,
the JDM Honda Fit GE do NOT came with any rear enforcement bar at all from factory.
that is why I cannot just buy it and have to modify my USDM re bar to be shorter so I can mount
it behind the JDM Fit RS rear bumper,
so basically at the rear, I lose about 1/2inches of crumple zone distance
