eBay Motors: JDM 07+ Honda Fit N1 Aero Mild Style Front Bumper GD3 (item 370085898557 end time Sep-21-08 19:29:51 PDT)
I like it but GEEZ man!!! That's gonna cost 2K before you're done (painting) if I'm not mistaken.

I really do like it just not 2K worth of "like it". The "H" in the front grill is hard to clean around, holds water which "Dribbles" down the front bumper 2 hours after washing and impedes air flow. I also think the grill area would just be cleaner looking with the big H gone. all that said I still don't want to pay 2K to lose the H. With the release of the 09s accessories for the 08s will be diminishing. Go for it and I hope you can get it done for cheaper than 2K.

I agree completely about the annoying H. The water dribble is annoying, but not as bad as the top of the front lip and rear bumper. There're a lot of spots on the car that are hard to keep clean.

I found another grille on ebay:
eBay Motors: JDM Honda Fit Jazz Front Bumper Aero Sport Mesh Grille (item 230288008054 end time Sep-14-08 00:02:27 PDT)

not sure how I feel about it...it's almost what I want, but not quite lol

Ricey or not I like it but it says it's for the Jazz which means, quite likely, that it won't fit the USDM Fit. It'll still need to be painted but at least it's not the whole bumper.

says on the bidding site:

Latest Japan Design
Fit for New 2007-2008 Honda Fit
Also fit Year 2002-2005 Honda Jazz (Japanese version)

It will fit. Also says you can request for them to prepaint it in your color, dunno how much it costs though, but it's worth looking into. $69 shipped + paint-service. On NHBP it might look pretty awesome..

If you find out what paint service costs post it please. I've started removing emblems from my BBP and am interested in a cleaner simpler look. Lose the giant annoying "H" in front.

yeah I'll look into this tomorrow when I get off the ship. If it costs under $250 painted and shipped, I'll get it. It's just a grille, don't want to spend crazy amount of money on it. I'm tiring of the front red H. The rear one will stay forever though.

Word of advice. I would get it unpainted that way if it doesn't fit and you have to have it sanded down/made to fit better you wont be wasting money again getting it repainted.

just my 2 cents though

I sent the seller a message asking if he knows for a fact it will fit USDM 07-08 Fit without modification. Will post answer.

Just because they say it fits doesn't mean it fits perfectly. You'll probably have to do a little simple fiberglass work to make it fit 100% perfectly.

I'm not good with chopping pieces off or whatever would be required to make it fit. I'd be in the autobody field of work if I knew how to mod fiberglass. I don't see why they wouldn't test it on a US fit before saying it fits US fits!

references?

I may be asking for way more than I'm going to get but if this ebay merchant sells lots of units I'd like to talk to some of his clients. I know I'm asking for a lot if I expect for a perfectly fitting Blackberry Pearl grill to arrive at my door. I'm in no hurry and there aren't that many grills available so I have no choice OTHER than to be patient. Thanks for doing the footwork trancedsailor I just hope you don't end up ordering this on a "trial" basis. I'd rather some distant stranger get screwed rather than a fitfreak.

and ladies and gentlemen, I bring you EXACTLY what the OP and I are looking for:

I don't think it comes as grille only. This pic is to show the eyelids for sale. Doh!! And if the guy responds saying it will fit, I will get it pre-painted and just go for it. The Fit in the picture with it looks like a USDM, left-hand drive. I wanna know where he got the funky headlight covers from as well.

constriction

I still like that first grill you posted in this thread. The ricer. I'm not replacing the whole bumper and the other appears like it might constrict air flow. They'll have to paint and have some sort of guarantee or the deals off. By the way if they guaranteed a color match on BBP they'd be idiots but I'm not taking up auto painting as a sideline just for new grill. I know I'm asking for a lot!

Yeah I think I'll have to take one for the team and order the damn thing prepainted and try it on for size lol I'll do this if he responds favorably. I have a feeling it will look MEAN on my black on black Fit. I can see it now lol

It should look mean. In my opinion on a white or black car the MORE monotone you can get the better. That "H" in the grill is an irritant in general anyway. I swear after washing it'll wait 2-3 hours and then goober a stream of soapy water onto the bumper to mess up the clean car. It's not life threatening just irritating.

yeah it's a pain in the ass, that H. Also I find the roof to be a pest with spots and dirt as well. Lowering it should help. The roofline seems so high to me and I'm about 6'0 lol also thinking of removing the rear wiper. I'm warming up to the ricer grille more and more every time I look at it. I bet 90% I'm placing my order tomorrow regardless lol
