The reason for the harness bar having to sit further back is that you'll have to take account of seat adjustability. Such as, how far you can recline back, how far you can you slide the seat back and etc...

The way the harness bar is designed requires certain tolerances to insure you guys are safe and also gives you two points of chassis strengthening. Seat belt adjustments are no more. This is due to acquiring the right angle to have it align correctly for let's say a 4pt harness. I hope this is informative to you guys. If you guys have any more questions and concerns please email me at: David@speedwaremotorsports.com

We also sell this bar under our own name.

How hard is it to take it on & off? Looks like it took up quite some room in the rear seat area?

And how much will it cost?

It's very easy to install and uninstall. These harness bars use clevis ends which are able to slip fit onto the brackets that are attached to your seat belt mounts on the b pillar using a allen bolt. Also, you shouldn't have any passengers in the car if you're using this harness bar because it's dangerous. The price is $429.00.

Tks for your quick reply. Very interesting indeed....

One more thing to consider other than the GPS lap timer now

Yes I do have a DIY camera mount now but the harness bar will be a much nicer thing to mount the DV on.
