Pearlescent paint primer?

I've got Blackberry Pearl paint (pearlescent purple) and am contemplating some aftermarket parts that will need painting. Does anyone know what color/type primer Honda used for their pearlescent paints? From my many chips on the front end I would guess white or light gray. I'm no paint expert but believe most pearlescents have some kind of light colored primer behind them to help achieve the pearlescent effect. If I pay someone to paint these parts I'd like for them to actually match. Any help from people with more paint expertise would be appreciated.

I have only seen grey factory primer on cars. The ruddy red (red oxide) is more expensive do to the rust inhibitors added in. With lighter colors a tinted primer/sealer is used in some higher end body shops.
But w/ ur color being very dark I would say grey would be correct to prime with.

primer will always be white/grey/black sumtimes yellow

the pearlescent effect is from adding a pearl coat after your base coat then they clear
the blackberry pearl color is just the purple with pearl dust added to the base so u dont have to worry about a tri coat just base clear

thanks

Thanks for the input. I'm still contemplating my purchase but I don't paint so I'm going to have to pay someone. Just wanted as much info as possible.

Don't have a doubt and use the grey primer.
