It will fit, it's just that if you have a Sport model with the OEM spoiler, you'll have a couple of holes to fill in.

So, Does that mean you'll need to drill holes if you don't have a sport model already equiped with a wing?...and if you have a sport model then no drilling required?

to clear up this thread, i have emailed the seller of this wing to him. He says:

If you have the BASE OR SPORT model, you will have to drill new holes for it to mount. If you have the Sport model, you will have to fill up the original bolts where the stock spoiler was mounted.

The reason why you cannot use ur existing bolts on ur sport model si because the sport model spoiler mounts from the TOP rather then from the BOTTOM of the rear hatch like the older civic hatchs. Look on ur stock spoiler. YOu see those 2 squares? if u remove those, you will see the bolts that the spoiler is held on to. The mugen style spoiler for sale here mounts from the bottom thus you having to drill new holes through the tailgate.

If they are made specifically for the Fit, how come they are not made to fit the OEM holes? This would make so much more sense.

Different spoilers are designed to attatch to the body of a car in different ways. Because of the different design, there may be no way of making a spoiler 'fit' into the OEM holes.

Besides, they're not 'building' the spoilers themselves.
