Replacing stock spoiler.

I just ordered a black J's racing type S spoiler from ghg78. He said it mounts with 4 bolts but he used 2 and double sided tape and it was perfectly sturdy. I plan to only use two bolts.

My whole roof has a black vinyl on it, except the little area on the hatch. I have a friend who does vinyl, he does all my work for me. I want him to get this done before I install this spoiler.

Now to replace the spoiler do I need to remove the white anchors the stock spoiler uses? And if so HOW!?

Also ghg said his was a base model so he had no original holes but do you think the two holes that are metal that stick up under the spoiler are going to interfere with how this spoiler sits?

Thanks for your help guys also were talking about a GD3

I removed my stock spoiler to install my Kenstyle wing the raised metal holes and the other holes do not interfere with my wing and the way it sits. I had to make new holes for my wing and also used 3m tape.

Wait for the wing to come in so you can test fit it and see what you need to do.

You left the white anchors in? I'm just curious I want to lay the vinyl on before the wing gets here so im just making sure if im removing the white anchors to take them out before the vinyl goes on.

In that case yeah you'll need to remove them unless you lay the vinyl around them. Yep the white anchors are in still. They don't protrude out too much
