Went to local walmart and see my hood got a scratch on it. it's pretty deep, I can see the iron. pretty upset now. I wonder what's the best thing I should do. touch up paint? paint the whole hood? get another hood? CF hood? tell me your suggestion please.

Whenever I purchase a new Honda, I walk to the parts counter and get a thing of touch-up paint for it.

I've already used mine twice. Perfect match. Comes with both a pen and a brush applicator in the bottle.

Cost is around $4, and worth every penny!!

I know alot of people that swear by a product called Langka paint chip and scratch repair

never personally used it so can't vouch for it. but you can find it at www.langka.com

you still need touch up paint but it is supposed to make the finish look perfect or dang near perfect

EDITED: The nail polish color I am referring to is Storm Silver.

At walmart I purchased this nail polish that matches our paint perfectly. It's color scheme is "01 Diamond". Contains rainbow glitters, but after it dries, the glittering is gone, and it looks exactly like our paint. I just patched a small chip on my side mirror and will be sanding it down soon, then applying clear coat and a finish sand, then polish and wax... I"ll take pics.

I realize that.. Sorry, disregard the paint color comment. Check out the article and see if you can DIY.

For touch up paint, I always get mine from here...

http://paintscratch.com/

The Honda/Acura touch up paint I have purchased through the dealers have never matched.
