Double sided tape replacement on vent visors
Double sided tape replacement on vent visors
So I messed up the double-sided tape on my OEM vent visors. During install, I missed the placement, so had to unstick and redo it. But it's lost its "stickiness" and won't stay down. What are my options here? I don't want to permenantly bond it with crazy glue/epoxy, as I may have to remove it someday. Would some sort of silicon sealant work here? Am I looking at removing the whole thing and somehow redoing the tape job?
Edit: Ended up (carefully) taking it all off. Thankfully, the tape came off of the visor fairly easily. I went to Home Depot and picked up some Scotch/3M Extreme Mounting Tape ($6). It was 1" thick so had to trim it with a razor, but worked well.
