Thumbs up Question: Jdm Front End Conversion

I was wondering if any1 who has done a front end conversion can post some pics and write up on the swap. I hear theres quite some modification to do to make the jdm front end to fit the usdm front end. Since its not a bolt on process can any of you show me/us "fit community" the light. Any help/pics/write up will b very appreciated.

Are you looking for information to determine wheather or not if you are capable to doing the swap?

Swap can be pretty easy if you have access to a welder and know how to use it. Basically take off everything on the front end(hood, fenders, bumpers, headlight, rebar and drill out the spot weld on the radiator support to remove it) Weld the JDM radiator support, bolt the JDM stuff back on and that's it. Oh and paint ofc.

I did mine first conversion on a DC2 and can't say I did a good job welding it..I learned how to weld from the 15mins video that came with the welder. I did do a much better job on my 2nd one tho.

Basically anyone body shop can do the swap, it's an everyday thing for those guys, I highly recommand going with your local shop unless you're like me

Its not a question of able or not able to do the conversion myself. I know its been done, its the matter of modification to the parts on the usdm fit to make the front end fit. Yeah it'll b ez if u had the radiator support frame, just cuting and welding, but i heard peeps are doing it without it and just cutting into the usdm radiator support bar.

What i need is pics and written detail on where on or in the radiator support frame is cut/drilled/bolt/etc.

Yeah i would think a autobody is the best for this kind of work, but im the kind of person who wants to go the trail and error route...lol. Thx for the suggestion and info.

Im looking for a detailed conversion also. i figure how much it would cost for the entire conversion kit: (American Dollars)

JDM Fenders - $214.30
JDM Honda headlamp Assy - $736.64
JDM Honda Front Bumper - $700.93
JDM Radiator support - $205.37
Radiator support - $84.83
just for fun i threw in a OEM carbon fiber hood - $599.00

i dont know about shipping prices or painting prices. but the total is $1941.61 w/o carbon fiber hood and $2540.61 with the carbon fiber hood. tell me if im missing anything. here are the sites i got them from -

yeah i think if u were to get the radiator support frame...it would put u back at lease 300 bux. There are these mounts that hold the lights just about the rebar and sits under the lights.
