traded my porsche for a fit EX!

After owning my porsche cayman for 3 and a half years, got the crazy idea in my head to trade it for a fit. The cayman was an incredible car, but you really can't have fun with it on suburban streets since you shift a couple times and are doing 60 or 70. Really having fun with the fit so far, love having features like adaptive cruise control, lots of light and space in the cabin, and audio controls on the steering wheel!

And, my porsche was almost never anywhere near this clean.

Its probably best to make the change before you have gear box issues or something like that in the Cayman. Though after a trip into the mountains of West Virginia I was wanting a few more HP for the Fit. Even with 3rd gear pulls up the mountain we got 38mpg!

both cars look good to me!

Welcome to the forum. Great looking Porsche and Fit. The FIt is a fun little car in it's own way.

Welcome aboard!

I have always wanted a Cayman, but the Fit is simply a better fit for my life at this point. Perhaps one day....

That seems like a terrible decision! Lol

Except financially. And when you want to carry cargo. Or people. Or drive in bad weather. Or go to a state park or the beach. Or drive for uber. Ok ok ok there are some good reasons 😂

Yeah, the exurbs of Chicago are a pretty miserable place to own a sports car.

Funny you mention gearbox issues. The Cayman had a 7-speed dual clutch trans (little different than the cvt!) and a couple times in the winter I got a "transmission emergency run", one time it wouldn't shift out of 2nd. Cycle power, back to fine. But if the trans went, it's a ~ $20k non-servicable item.

I put 35k miles on it, had my fun. The fit is 400 pounds lighter and equally fun to toss around the corners, maybe even more so.

And tonight I took the wife into the garage to show off "relax" mode in the passenger seat, lol.
