Spoon Fit

Hello Everyone,

I am Marco and I got a 2018 Honda Fit Sport Trim (6-MT) in yellow a couple months ago. I have been stalking the forum for a while but now I am going out of the dark. This is actually my first Fit and first Honda I am a die hard Miata guy at heart. I have a 1993 factory supercharged Eunos Roadster which is an imported Mazda Miata and I have a 1991 Mazda Miata in British Racing Green with only 35K miles! So to keep them safe and clean I decided to get a Fit and I love it! Besides Mazdaspeed which is Mazda's in house tuning company my second love is Spoon I have always loved the parts they make. So my first Mods were a Spoon Oil and Rad cap and a nice duracon shift knob. I plan on running the full catback with the B-Pipe and doing other Spoon related mods. I even got a Acuity shifter linkage bushing kit because I heard that is a must. Also you will all see throughout this build that even though this is my daily I will only use good quality parts I have never been a fan of replicas.

Here are some pics of the car below:

Thanks Tablecat! The color BRG really changes how you mod your car, you want to go full classy and vintage. and It is funny you said you would go for yellow because if I had found one in white with the same package I would have got it for sure but the yellow pops so well and you can always find your car in the parking lot.

Little update! I installed the Acuity bushings and they feel much better it doesn't really help with the feel of the shift itself but more of when you put it in gear the knob is very firm and doesn't shake around. it is a upgrade I would recommend and it is very easy!

Welcome to the forum! I actually follow you on IG already.

Miata and Fit are the perfect combo, in my opinion. Here's my '90 Eunos-

Julianachos, Hey man! send me a PM on IG! love your roadster!

EvilChargerFan. the intake stuff is on the list and for suspension I spoke to spoon and they said for legality reasons they cannot ship that suspension kit over seas because it is considered "Dangerous". So I will probably be going with the BuddyClub coilovers and getting the rest of the spoon suspension goodies later.

I received the Spoon Intake Filter!

So my genuine review on this is that the OEM Filter is visibly thicker I mean at least 2 times thicker, The Spoon Filters fins are thinner but its construction is very strong doesn't feel like it would fall apart.

Performance: It is an intake filter so I wasn't expecting much but I do hear more intake noise and of course I feel the placebo 3HP, but I would not doubt if there were some gains.

if the fins are thinner (visually speaking, it does look like it to me), you should be getting more air flow

the fact that you can hear it, tells me its doing its job

if you want to hear MORE intake goodness, you can delete the intake resonator. if you look up my build thread, its in there, somewhere

The Miatas and Fit look great! How is it switching from RHD to LHD and back? Just a quick recalibration?

LHD and RHD really isn't that different feeling, I say that for the miata at least because the miata is a bubble and it is easy to see out of. However people think you're driving a super car when they see you because you're on the other side haha.

I return with another update! So the Fit needed some noise so I did what had to be done. I bought a Spoon N1 Axleback which arrived insanely fast and the Spoon B-Pipe which will be here in 7 weeks. I was able to fit the axleback and my oh my is it nice. Has the perfect tone, 0 drone, pops and burbles on every up shift and it is a very deep and crisp sound while looking amazing. I know the GK5 in Japan has a very short bumper so it pokes out a little in Japan but the USDM bumper really hides it which is nice but it would be nice to see the tip and to avoid melting my bumper haha.
