On January 3rd, I started thinking about picking up some cheap and cheerful Japanese 5-spd transportation. I ventured over to Craigslist and and found a deal which seemed too good to be true.
Turns out it wasn't too good to be true and as of January 4th I own a delightfully faded 5-spd 2008 Fit Sport in Blaze Orange Metallic with 103,000 miles.
Thanks for all of the knowledge and inspiration that I will glean from this forum.
I brought it home Saturday night and started pulling it a part to properly mount the bumper. I ordered a new "bumper spoiler", front left motor mount, under body plastic, fog light bulbs and harnesses (someone had converted the fogs to HID, which no longer worked and the wiring was a mess) and suspension for all 4 corners.
I will be posting a WTB add for stock springs as soon as I am granted such privileges. Lowered cars and snow don't mix, hence the broken bumper mounts and missing underbody plastics.
I am always happy to buy cars that need a bit of love because I thoroughly enjoy the process of bringing them back to life.
