Hello all. I just purchased a 2018 Japanese model Honda fit for my short stay in Nicosia Cyprus. I drove it around today and have been playing with the navigation unit and other things. I like the car but the Pioneer navigation unit will have to go. There are a number of other aspects unique to a Japanese model that I will just have to live with.

My first big surprise was the "NO Spare" sticker in the back window. Instead of a spare, it has bottle of latex sealant that screws onto a port of the electric air pump. If you get a simple flat, You pump up the tire with sealant and air and hope for the best. The illustrated instructions show a big frowny face if you get an unrepairable tear in the sidewall. The car appears to have the Japanese version of OnStar so this simple flat tire repair might have been enough in Japan.
