Question Anti-Theft Options for 2017 Fit Catalytic Converter?

Hello from a new member and a new Fit owner in LA!

We are experiencing a plague of catalytic converter thefts here in Hollywood. I have a tip for a trusted local mechanic who can install a steel plate or cable as a cc theft deterrent. Does anyone have experience or advice on the best options to deter catalytic converter theft?

By the way, I found FitFreak incredibly helpful in researching and purchasing my pre-owned 2017 Fit EX. One thing I learned here is that 2017 was the last model year that (most or all) Fits sold in the U.S. were assembled in Japan. Found a great deal on a Fit EX with only 22,000 miles,(and a *J* VIN#) right down the street at Honda of Hollywood. Already feels like I'm driving the best car in its class ever made. So, thanks much for all the great info!

My car has a catless RV6 pipe (don't buy one, if you're interested get the catted version), but from what I remember putting the thing in there, even the factory parts are so hard to reach that stealing them would be difficult. The first section is right up against the cylinder head and I think the second section is above some stuff that makes sticking a sawzall in there unlikely.

Ya it doesn't sit down low so cat theft really isn't an issue with these cars.
