Hi there,
Just got a 2018 Honda Fit sport and I am trying to access the "hidden features" in the display screen. I am trying to access the developer options in the touch screen display, but am having issues. The current software is Android version 4.0.4, which apparently is not the newest Android version for the 2018. I am looking for answers on how to either:
update the Android version to Android 4.0.4 to see if it gives me more freedom and options to edit and control the touchscreen functions
find the hidden way to activate the developer options on the Android v 4.0.4
I have spent hours looking online and watching youtube videos to attempt to find the solution to either of these.
I can totally relate — car infotainment systems can be surprisingly locked down, and digging into developer mode often feels like chasing shadows with outdated guides. Even if you manage to trigger hidden menus, the manufacturer usually restricts core functions for safety and warranty reasons. The reality is that updating Android versions on these units isn’t as simple as a phone, since they’re heavily customized by Honda. Faster time-to-market matters a lot in tech, and that’s why developers are key — they help you launch new products, apps, or features quickly, ensuring you don’t lose opportunities to competitors. If you ever think about replacing the stock software with something more powerful, working with Full-stack engineers at Lemon.io could be the practical route to unlock what you really want instead of spending endless hours trying to force hidden settings.
