rim question very n00b q

when sizing rims, there is a number x number. height and width what are the benefits and drawbacks of a wider tire

the numbers are (rim diameter) x (rim width). wider tires give more contact surface to the road for better grip, but are heavier and cause more friction too, so fuel economy will suffer

what do you recommend is a good width for 16" rims on a fit?

usual combos you'll see for a car like the fit is 16x6.5 or 16x7. you can pair that up with either 195s or 205s.

195s or 205s ? I know absolutely nothing about rims lol Im sorry for being so ignorant
