New Fit Owner/Best Car Cover?

We just bought our Fit Sport Manual in Storm Silver Metallic on Saturday. I do not have a garage and I would like to keep my Fit looking nice for a long time. I have never used a car cover, but thought that it could help protect from the Florida sun, etc. Is the car cover offered by Honda the best available? And is a car cover the best option for someone without a garage? Thanks

I am all for the OEM cover. I have one and it is awesome, but some people on here think it is a bit pricey.

You don't need to worry about the sun as much as falling debris, bird poop, dust, dirt and other things that will mess up your paint. The FIT's paint is horribly thin and does not have a clear coat to protect it.

Excellent, I will go with the OEM

I have never had a new vehicle and really want to take excellent care, both inside and out. I have seen some long threads on the care section about waxing and washing. I never took much care with my other vehicles, just turtle wax, etc. I noticed that someone posted this website Car Detailing Supplies, Car Wax, Car Polishers, Car Care Products. It seems reputable, but I really do not know. Would I do best to buy their wash kit and follow their instructions? Proper wash and wax care (which I will learn) coupled with the car cover should maintain the exterior? Thank you all, I am new to forums as well.
