Intro and photos

Hello fellow Fit drivers. I'm Hootie, I live in southeast Texas, I am 16 years old and currently drive a 2008 Vivid Blue Fit Sport. It has the 5 speed auto with paddle shift along with black and polished lipped Konig Quiz wheel and 20% window tinting on the all except the windshield and windows in front of the side mirrors.

The Fit was given to me from my uncle on November 28, 2007 and had 49.6 miles when I first turned the key. (3.4 miles at dealer) Now I will admit that it was kind of disappointing to have at first due to not being able to get my license till December 5th. The tinting was put added on the 30th and wheels installed on December 3rd.

Currently the car is being used as a daily driver but may become
a mild autocrosser so long as my uncle and my budget allows me. Darn fuel prices. Anyway enough about me, here's a couple of shots of the ride.

Day of arrival.

Konigs and tinting installed.

Edit: Can a moderator please move this over to the new members section. I didn't find it until now.

Thanks. Well my current goal for the car is to keep it a nice clean, simple daily driver with simple mods. Things like a cold air intake, T1R response header and B-pipe capped off with a Spoon N1 muffler (Kind of iffy about it) along with possibly a rear strut tower bar. Another part of my goal is to prove to others that you can customize a Honda without falling into the "ricer" category because most of the younger people I know have a belief that any modified Japanese vehicle is considered rice.

I honestly wish I could, but I heard that around here it is illegal to tint anything forward of the side mirrors.

lol, its ok. Its kind of strange how much laws can vary state to state.

Example: Here in Texas slower drivers sometimes tend to drive on the shoulder to allow them to pass instead of having them go around in the on coming lane. This leads to interesting passing at times.

Actually I've been looking around for a while at various suspensions, but I haven't completely decided on who's to go with. I bent between choosing Tein's Basic Damper, Mugen's 5-Way, and Eibach's Pro-Street-S. Although before any of those mods get installed I'll have to get a decent paying job and would like to have it done when the car is off of warranty.

Hey Hootie:

Welcome to the Fit Family. That is a pretty VBP - glad you are enjoying the car - it is so much fun to own and drive.

Ah, thanks for the invite, but unfortunately I won't be able to come because I have school on that Monday. However during the 17th-21st I'll be on Spring Break and more than likely will be able to swing through.

Oh and Rosharon is a little over 30 miles from Houston by the way.
