Hi!

I just got an '07 Fit yesterday, and am lurking like mad on here looking for stuff I should take car of, mods that are easy/cheap/useful, and stuff like that. Tons of great info on these boards, it's great! I'm looking forward to learning more.

I've got a couple of bone-head questions:

I've seen some mods that people do to add camber to the wheels. That looks like it would cause crazy-uneven tire wear. Is there any benefit, besides making your car look like it's angry? There's no way I'd ever mess with this (or most other) mod, I'm more interested in the economy aspects of the car/mods.

The mod that keeps from turning on the AC when the defrost is on looks really smart. Is it even necessary for a GD car?

it's really the toe angle that eats away the tire. but ive not had issues with my car. wears evenly front and back.

 

The AC / Defrost mod is necessary for the GD and is very easy. You just pop the panel under the AC controls and unplug one connector.

So, I started this thread when I bought my car.

Finally picked it up yesterday. Apparently the bank went through some sort of a merger and my title sat on some bozo's desk for a couple weeks.

Whatever, finally got it and am enjoying driving a car that is dependable and fun! Planning on adding the AUX IN to the stereo and doing the AC-off mods this weekend (if my wife doesn't kill me for tearing apart the dash).
