Hi everyone!
I don't drive a Fit just yet, but I will be once the 2012 model units are rolled out. Looking forward to it!
Don't really know what to write about myself.
Trading in a Cooper S for the Fit. Not going to miss its unreliability. Will miss the color. No fun orange or blue for the Fit in my country.
Has anyone ever wanted a slightly heavier steering and gear change feel for their Fit?

Welcome to the forum!
Are you in Mexico?
What colors are available in your country?
If you are in Mexico- can you get one in California or Texas? US version has a new Orange Burst Metallic - very cool color & also Blue Vortex.
The 2012 's are out at some of the dealers in the US- they haven't come to my local dealer though.

Welcome!
Larger wheels and tires really firmed up the steering in our Fit and a Mugen shifter gives it firm, crisp shifts.
You'll love the reliability of the Fit. You join many others on here that have defected from the Mini. All have been very happy.

Thanks for the welcome and the tips!
Yes, I live in Mexico.
Colors available AFAIK are:
White, black, anthracite, deep green, red and silver. Unless there's new colors coming in 2012.
I am thinking of wrapping the car with the 3M Matte-Finish transparent film.
That should be a subtle but original statement, no matter what the color ends up being.
About looking for an US-spec Fit, I think there's a few country-specific changes, mostly due to the low-octane watered down gas we get here. The cat, fuel supply system and ECU tuning come to mind.
There's another reason for me not wanting to look over the border for an orange Fit.
I got the Honda dealership to buy that Mini at a rather good price. That is, considering the timing chain broke and I spent a good three months trying to bring it back to its former glory with no success.
@blassty, stay away from the Mini at least until the next one gets a mid-model refresh. Make sure the car has an all new engine, and that is in no way co-developed by the PSA Group.
