Hello to all. My wife and I just aquired our new to us 2007 VBP Fit Sport AT this past Saturday. She had a 2010 Focus Se when we got together a little over 1yr ago. Well, the warranty ran out and the problems started. Rough idle, brakes sticking and a pop in the rear of the car. Dealer told her they couldn't find out anything about the rough idle at start-up. No cel and nothing stored in the computer. Imagine that! I have turned wrenches for over 30 yrs. and for the life of me I couldn't find anything to make the brakes stick or to make the popping sound in the rear. Well, we fixed it when we went to our local Honda dealer. Hated to trade backwards on years but couldn't afford a 2010 or newer. The trade in and resell on the Focus to put it nicely STINKS! Anyhow, in my opinion we got a much better reliable car! She is very happy with her Fit. She drives about 50 miles round trip to work so gas mileage is a concern. The first tank in mixed driving netted 34.1 mpg! I think there is more there when I get to adjust the valves and put in new plugs. I already installed a center console armrest and I have a CIPA autodim mirror with map lights and temp and compass to install. Has anyone installed one of these? I would like to know exactly where you mounted the mirror button. There is a rough texture on the windshield where I would figure it should go. Did you mount it on that or below it? She also would like to have sunvisors with lighted mirrors in them. I did some junkyard strolling yesterday & I think that 01 Civic visors may work. I just couldn't find any the right color or I would know for sure. Anyhow, hello to the fit community!
