Post New to the forums, not a Fit owner...yet

I've been browsing the forums off and on for a couple of weeks now and decided to go ahead a join. My girlfriend is now driving an 08 Fit, base, automatic, very nice VBP paint. She loves the thing to death and I have surprisingly acquired a fondness for it. She got it with ~50K on the odometer and I have since flushed the brake system with fresh Honda fluid, cleaned/adjusted the rear brakes/e-brake, rotated tires/purged with nitrogen, thrown Acura synthetic oil and an OEM filter on it (came from a Mitsubishi dealership with a cheapie filter and I'm sure cheap oil), and flushed the ATF out. None of it seems absolutely necessary yet, but I had no knowledge of when any of it had been done last, I want the car to last, and I spent $5 on it all.
I also picked up a keyless entry kit and installed it for her as a surprise while I had it at the shop and she was ecstatic.

Now for me...
I'm 20, working as a tech at an Acura dealership in the DFW metroplex and enjoying it. I just sold (today actually) my 1996 Integra GSR. It was lowered with I, H, E, and a JDM front end conversion. I had a bit of an incident in the rain, and ended up headfirst in a guardrail at about 60 due to unfortunate circumstances. I'd like to make it clear that I was not hooning about, speeding, swerving, or really doing anything to 'ask for it.' I'm very thankful to have walked away, and incredibly upset about the loss of my baby. I had been working on a deal for a 2001 Integra Type R, but the deal fell through and I've realized I need something more reasonable. I'm looking to purchase a 2011-2012 Fit Sport with the proper number of pedals, and no navigation. My goal in the next day or two is to get to actually DRIVE a newer Fit with a manual, as I've only every driven my girlfriend's base/auto. If I like what I drive, i'll be locating or just ordering a 2012 the way I want. No options for me obviously, I get everything close to cost, working at the dealer.

Appreciate the welcome guys! The dealership is actually what got me into my first Honda (Acura). I was and still am own away by the immense knowledge I find in some of the master techs. We have people bring cars (usually NSXs) in from other states to have this guy work on them. O.O

I work at an Acura dealership as well. Love the free 1/2 quarts of rdx oil and mdx 1/2 quarts of ATF for the recall. Lol. We also own a Honda store, so I got a discount on my 12 fit. Something like 15,600, plus tax(no doc fees since I work there). They also got the car from out of state since I wanted a manual sport in polished metal metallic.
