2008 Fit Sport - first or second generation?

Maybe a dumb question.. I have a 2008 Fit Sport.. the VIN number has the letters/number GD3 in it.. how do I know whether I have a First or Second Generation? from what I understand, the Second Generation has the better chassis and suspension.. thanks!

.........finally, a question my brain can actually handle. Like me, you have the first generation model (2007-2008) offered in the United States. Don't expect a Lincoln Continental quality ride in either the GD or the current GE models. Just smile knowing you have made a very wise purchase.

Also, your GD3 has Hondata available for tuning, if you dont mind spending $700 for either the opportunity to get more gas mileage, or have fun down the road with a turbo.

That said, the GD3 is still a very capable car, whether for roadtrips, gas sipping, or just having fun with some aftermarket suspension bits
