Hey all. Looking to purchase a (used) 1st gen Fit Sport. I've booked a prepurchase inspection with a 3rd party, but also wondering if there are things to look out for, pay attention to etc.

put the car on ramps and check the undercarriage.

for used cars, bring a friend and a tape measurer and measure the distance from the front wheel center to the back wheel center... and compare to the other side. the length should be pretty much dead even. otherwise the car might have frame damage.

touch the rear fender arch to see if there is any rust starting.

it's a fairly old car so dont expect too much, but should help you negotiate your price.
