Hello all, newbie here.
Picked up a black 2015 Honda Fit LX CVT (Canadian LX, one step up from base DX, so for the yanks I think its a nonexistant model that fits between a US LX and a US EX) last week.
Love the car. Roomy, good power, drives well, fuel efficiency (well ill have to give it a bit after it breaks in to find out its true efficiency).
Previous car was a 2006 Toyota Corolla XRS (the rare fun corolla that had the 1.8L 170hp 6MT Celica GTS motor in it). Had it problem free for 9 years (well this past year the wear and tear was starting to show itself) and then rear ended someone and it ended up getting written off....so that's where the Fit comes in.
Theres definately differences between the two in terms of size (corolla is bigger on the outside, The fit I think is bigger inside) , technology (duh..), power (Corolla more powerful, but only when the engine got revved to hell) and the drive (My corolla was lowered, exhaust, bigger wheels, so it was better than stock. The fit drives great stock.) But I am happy with the Fit. Strangely I never considered a fit cuz I didn't want a smaller car than my Corolla. But at the same time I didn't like the options out there, until I did some research on the Honda fit. Something about it made me go 'this is the car I want!' whereas every other option I tried made me go '...well I think I like this car, ill be happy with it"
You pay the big bucks for a car you can afford, gotta get the one that you want! For me, first it was the Corolla, now its the Fit.
