Hey there everyone, nice to be here. I recently bought a 2012 Sport 5M in vortex blue with ~24k miles. I'm really happy with the car for all the usual reasons. In the past I've owned a 2001 Prelude, and one of those oddball Saturn Vue's with the Honda V6.

About a week after bringing it home, I got a CEL. Misfire on #2. Frustrating, to say the least. After digging through posts, I same-day'd a new Hitachi coil and Denso spark plugs from Amazon. Well, turns out, the #2 spark plug was loose, but otherwise everything looked ok. Clean everything up, put it back together, no more misfires reported and running silky smooth. I'd originally chalked up the ever-so-slightly-rough idle to just the character of the engine.

In hindsight, I should have dug deeper into the details with my scan tool before buying the car, as I'm sure it would have reported the intermittent misfire. Not sure how many misfires are require to trigger the CEL.

Anyway, now I have a spare ignition coil handy in case I ever need it.

I don't really plan on any modifications for now, other than tinting the windows. I did purchase some Aries front floor mats which I'm really happy with so far.

Be happy that you caught the loose plug. It would have been a very expensive repair if it had blown out of the cylinder.
