Car won't start

Car won't start

My 07 Fit won't start! I turn the key and get a single click. It used to start intermittently, I'd turn the key, nothing, let it sit for awhile m it starts right up. Problem has been getting more frequent in the coming weeks until now, it will not start at all. It is not anything electrical (radio, dash lights, everything works) I get a "single click" when I turn the key. When it did this before, I'd turn it off, pull the key out and try starting it again and it would start, now it doesn't! Jumping has absolutely no effect! Also, the battery is about a year old. Car runs fine after it starts.

Sounds like the starter solenoid is bad.

Sounds line starter solenoid or starter itself. Could also be a bad connection of the heavy cable on the starter.

Most likely starter solenoid contacts. Tap the starter (easy said than done) and see if it starts

I have the same problem. Battery terminal was loose. Also battery is smaller than it was recommended. Replaced the battery and tightened the battery terminal. Problem solved.
