2015 Fit EX

I kind of inherited a White 2015 Honda Fit EX with 8k miles on it back in Dec 2017. Unfortunately, my dad's doctor said he did not want him driving anymore so he gave it to me since it was already paid off and hated to sell it since it was his pride and joy. I have been driving it since then and have put on 7500 miles. I have to say I am very impressed with this car and how much you get for a sub $20k car. It is small but yet inside you don't feel like you are in a small car and it sits pretty high up for it's size. Parking it is such a breeze and it has a pretty nice "fun factor" in driving. It took a few drives to get used to the CVT but I really like it now. I would still prefer the manual but my other car is a manual so it is nice to take a break from driving a manual in rush hour traffic. Shifts are very smooth compared to the 4 speed auto in our 2010 Honda Element. It feels like more than 130hp because of it.

Anyway, just wanted to say Hi.

Sorry to hear about your dad - giving up one's driving privileges is no light decision, even if one is in agreement. I'm glad his "pride and joy" stayed in the family and found a good home with you! I love mine - it's a fantastic little car!

Thanks guys. Yeah I felt bad for my dad but it was for his own (and others) safety. My dad actually made the remark that I take better care of the car than he did. I constantly hand wash it. So far I am really enjoying the car.

Thank your for the reminder! I use 1 bucket but then I rinse the sponge off with the hose in between rubbings on the car. But 2nd bucket would be more convenient. I keep forgetting about that!

Have only spent on tint and weathertech mats but I will admit if there is ever a supercharger made for the 2015+ Fits, that would make for a very fun sleeper car!

" Shifts are very smooth"

Well they should be..because technically a CVT doesn't shift at all. It some circles they are even called a single speed transmission.
Ignorantly I would describe the mojo as being belts and pulleys being used to Continously create a Variable Gear Ratio. The advantage being better fuel economy because the engine strives to continually be in the most efficient gear ratio for demand.
