Ecm = ecu ?

Are "ECM" and "ECU" different terms for the same part ?

I have a 2009 Fit with ECM code 83-1 and also P0303 Cyl 3 misfire.
I just replace the ignition coils & plugs.

Trying to find the best search words to find discussions on the topic.

Those are interchangeable. ECM is Electronic Control Module and ECU is Electronic Control Unit. However, with most newer vehicles including the Honda fit...you have a PCM. Powertrain Control Module. Difference is it also controls the transmission.
