Here's a few photos of mostly complete installation. Antenna lead was partially run between headliner and roof and out through existing hole in roof for OEM antenna. Some slight modification of hole and adjoining plastic pieces required to ensure no impingement of lead and no water leaks. Mount for receiver was machine screw "bolted" into place -- it will never fall off. Power and antenna wires hidden from view. Only remaining issue is Aux lead. Will probably just custom fit short lead instead of trying to hide lead altogether. Other option would be to mount new aux port on radio chassis and use that port to connect to XM unit thus enabling occult wiring but this would preclude ability to use dash aux port for other device. Probably best just to use short external aux lead with dash mounted aux port.
Removing headliner for this job was a real pia requiring removal of many trim pieces. Need to be very careful especially if doing alone not to crease liner.
Power and antenna leads not visible.
This mount will never slip or fall off and machine screws (bolted on reverse) not visible when unit in operating position.
Waterproof and no apparent interference between OEM and Sat antennas.
