2008 Fit Audio project
Hello,
This is my first post to the Fit Freak forum. I have been reading threads every now and then... Now that I am working on my own project I figured I would consult the community regarding my audio project.
I purchased
1 JL Audio Monoblock XD 600/1 Amplifier
1 PAC line output converter
1 12 inch porter JL audio subwoofer
Currently I am in the wiring process.
The amp and sub will be placed in the trunk (naturally).
I have wired the power supply from the positive terminal into a fuse (within 18 inches of the terminal), into the car and underneath the passenger side trim panels. (top images)
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
I will find a solid ground connection for the amp when I am ready to install it.
The issues that I am currently having are the following:
The stock head unit does not have rca inputs (hence the line output converter), my problem is that I don't know what the color codes for the wires are or the best placement for the converter.
My guess is that the best place for the converter is in the driver side wall panel since I only need a mono connection (bottom left image). I am also under the assumption that the speaker cables are blue/white (+) and blue/black(-).
However, I am not sure which wires to connect to for the following on the converter since I can't seem to find consistent color codes for the 2008 Fit Sport.
These are the color codes of the line converter
What color wires on the car do I need to connect these to?
Also I ran a remote from the radio fuse down the passenger side paneling to the trunk so that the amp kicks on when the radio is in use (bottom right image)... However, there is also a remote connection on the line converter and I am confused how that ties into the mess.
Please help, I am stumped!

BLACK -- Optional audio ground - ties RCA[-) conductors
together, also provides audio reference
YELLOW -- + 12 Volt constant
BLUE -- Remote turn-on for amplifier
BLACK/BLUE -- Chassis ground (WIRE MUST BE CONNECTED)
